Loki

Let's see... tonight there was Christmas play practice.  Yep - again.  Three nights in a row, and then one on Saturday morning.  We're really in the thick of it now.  I got that first Lone Star Christmas skit done, and I think it should be fun.  I can't wait to see the pictures of the cast on the set this weekend.  The guys in the band have been making this amazing logo sign for the series, something you'll have to see with the sheriff badge and some great lighting.  We even have cactus up there on the set now, and it's looking great up there.  Our campus children's pastor from OC is here, and we spent some time with her today, with lunch and tours and questions and meetings and so on.  It was good.  There was another visiting children's pastor from North Carolina, and she was blown away by all we do here.  We have a pretty big and effective ministry now, something I've been happy to be a part of for over twenty years now.

Tonight after practice, we got home.  Maddie was spending a good amount of that time at Edge, helping with instruction and of course with leadership too.  She was also having fun with "rolling," a form of wrestling where they try to pin each other.  I picked her up pretty late from Edge, but fortunately there was another friend there that she could hang out with, so it was okay.

The final episode of "Loki" was tonight, and it was a big deal.  It certainly didn't go in the direction we thought it would.  It was full of drama, and we're not sure what happens next exactly, but it certainly wasn't where we thought the MCU was going.  This has been one of our favorite series on this streaming site, second only to "WandaVision" in the Marvel shows.  We've liked others too, certainly "Hawkeye," which we're currently rewatching because it's Christmas time.

Maddie got a 100 on her history quiz today.  This wasn't a surprise to her though.  She's enjoying school, including that free Chick-Fil-A sandwich we give her the money for each Thursday morning.  Mom is slightly better, but still not well enough to go out and do things quite yet.  She was coughing through the night tonight.

We read this evening, more from "Wintersmith," and then after that we said our prayers.  I was doing a few other things tonight, like finishing up that skit for the weekend, capturing images of a Kingdom Keepers book for someone on this site, and downloading yet another free They Might Be Giants concert album called "Almanac."  I had no idea this existed.  I have no idea how it slipped by me, but I've been listening to it today and it's a great way to capture TMBG concerts twenty years ago.  I love that there's a live recording of "Violin," which is always one of our favorite songs to sing along with.  Anyway, hopefully the guys in the band are okay.  I know something happened to stop their tour this season, and it hasn't really been discussed what yet.

Moving on, after prayers we all got tucked in of course.  It's time to get some sleep!
