FCY's Friendsgiving was tonight, and Maddie was happy to see her friends from taekwondo here for service, and then a good meal together. It was a big feast from Longstreet, and I was there to help serve the food tonight. Mom and I had gone to Christmas play practice for the Nativity kids, and had enough time to drop by FCY for a quick meal and then I got to help serve afterwards. Maddie enjoyed the service, and then of course the company afterwards.
We've been busy lately with the plans for Christmas productions. There was a meeting today, and there were other costuming issues as well. We were doing quite a bit today towards Christmas.
Tonight Maddie was studying for a history test tomorrow, and Mom and I were watching that one episode of "WKRP in Cincinnati," the one with the turkey drop, "Turkeys Away." It's the first time I've seen this entire episode in many, many years, and just in time for the Thanksgiving season!
Speaking of Thanksgiving season, I completed another Turkey Trot this morning, another 5K where I was running for a half-hour with some walking before and afterwards. I'm almost there with running the whole thing, and the big accomplishment this morning is getting a new virtual badge with a turkey on it - I've done the three Turkey Trots available, each one a 5K, adn somehow survived too! It's been fun running amongst all the other racers, some of which are dressed as turkeys. It's a great holiday thing.
Tonight we read, of course. We read more from Tiffany Aching's adventures, and then we said our prayers too. The plush entourage listened in, and then followed us back to Maddie's room where everyone got tucked in... and soon enough we were all asleep, counting falling turkeys.
