Shamrock Cookies

We made cookies tonight!  Holiday cookies have become a nice diversion of late, today's shapes being shamrocks of course.  Nana, Madison and I were decorating cookies at the table tonight, each of us getting a pan of cookies shapes from Mom.  She's got the shamrock cookie cutter, and we were decorating each one with green sprinkles, and orange ones from the Irish flag.  I think they turned out rather well!

Afterwards, we were watching "Darby O'Gill and the Little People," which is pretty much the greatest St. Patrick's Day movie ever made.  There's really nothing that comes close, although "Luck of the Irish" is enjoyable, and "The Quiet Man" is a good movie.  But Darby O'Gill is the king of St. Patrick's Day movies, and has held that throne since 1959, amazingly enough.

We got to bed early tonight, because of daylight savings time tomorrow.  It's the hour early, and the part of daylight savings that nobody likes at all.  We all get up an hour earlier, and therefore we're getting to bed earlier to help make up for that.  Tonight, we lose an hour somewhere, which makes me wonder about those third shift workers and their schedules, and how all that works.  My question I always ask is what if someone gets a ticket at 2:30 am on the last day of Daylight Savings - how does someone know which 2:30 am it is when they got a ticket?  Because the clocks get set back and hour, and so you have 2:30 am twice in the same day.

ANYWAY, today was "Immersion" again, which is a two-hour class for Madison at taekwondo, one she loves.  She's definitely sore afterwards.  And hot and sweaty too!  We went to Buffalo's afterwards, and upped the level of hot sauce on her wings, but it's still not challenging enough for her.  We may up it again next time!

We spent a good deal of time at work today, mostly getting things ready for KidPak tomorrow.  Mom was finishing up with the costumes for Madison and her friend Skylar, who are both going to be on stage tomorrow morning.  It should be a great day when all's said and done.  I even did an opening crawl for the start of tomorrow's skit series:

We'll see how it all goes.  Tonight we were reading from Exodus, chapter 8, and then after that some more from Galaxy's Edge.  But soon after that, we were ready for bed.  It is 9:00pm, but we're acting like it's 10:00pm, because we lose that hour of sleep.  We need to be up and ready to go tomorrow, and tomorrow is going to come early.
