Sitting on the Dock

Madison's art project is coming along fine, and it's coming along fast too.  She shared this picture, and it appears as if she's got a few more areas to cover, but it's pretty close to being done.  Meanwhile, her other art project, the image of the waterlily, got a very good grade.  In fact, that one is going to be used in a virtual art show upcoming.  We'll have details on that soon enough, and how that works, but it'll be nice to have online.

Speaking of online, Madison had her small group lesson again tonight, and she was with the girls online learning about Rahab.  She was playing a game and listening in the car on the way to piano.  Oh, and good news about the car.  The other day we were on highway and got zinged by a rock that left a pretty good mark.  The mark has been slowly expanding, but the good news is that the insurance will cover it completely.  At least that's the good news there.

As for piano, it went well with Madison.  She's still doing "Married Life" for the upcoming recital, although she's got to spend a little more time with that when she can.  Having Tuesday nights suddenly open makes for more practice time in her schedule.

Tonight we read from Exodus, and we discovered that Moses' great-aunt... was also his mother.  We read other things too, but we stopped to think on that one a moment, even diagraming it out with a mini-family tree there.  We read from our Star Wars book as well - we're getting closer to the end on that one.

The very pleasant surprise of the evening was "Flora and Ulysses."  It was a great movie!  We thought we'd check that one out this evening, and it was such a great surprise.  I was laughing out loud from time to time, and just genuinely enjoying a movie.

Anyway, we said our prayers before bed, and got to sleep early.  It's been busy lately, but it's all working out.
