Jurassic Park Cups

I went back to work today, after a really long absence.  It's good to be back again - it's good to be doing anything again.  We were working towards the continuation of our "Lost World" series, and thinking to the future with a return to Neverland as well.  We've got a lot going on with KidPak, and with the Youth as well, with a new series called "Friday Night Lights."  Along those lines, Maddie wants to go to her high school football game this weekend, so I got a few tickets today.  We'll be there this Friday, the first high school football game I've been to since... well, maybe 1988?

Tonight we had piano practice, so Maddie and I were off to that for a bit, before we headed back home to do a bit of homework there.  It was a quiet day - we were writing this weekend's script at the office earlier, and doing some online meetings too.  These meetings weren't actually online, but instead about the material we've been creating for so many years, and what it takes to make it available online.  We'll see, and we've been talking about this for so long with the uppers, so we'll see if this goes to the back burner again.  It's just that for years, we've had so many people asking about our curriculum.  We'll see!

So in honor of our dinosaur series, I found my old Jurassic Park cup collection.  I used to collect these a long time ago, when they were around.  Places like McDonald's would have a series of large plastic cups, one per week with a different design.  I found the old Jurassic Park cups, and of course I have all six of them.  I've got all six of the "Batman Returns" ones as well, along with a lot of different plastic cups with X-Men on them or two with "Apollo 13" on them.  Relics from the 90's.

Tonight, we read some more from Kingdom Keepers, and clearly something is amiss on Castaway Cay.  In lieu of an actual vacation there, the book is nice, despite the dangers from the Overtakers.  Clearly, we're in this book series for the long haul.

We said our prayers tonight, and Maddie was tucked in like always:  black blanket first, then the two pinks ones in the right position, then the sheet, and then the cover, and then the Star Wars blanket, and then the one with the motivational quotes on it.  Then the night light, and the diffuser.  Maddie's had the sniffles lately, and more than likely it's allergies.  So we've got five drops of Raven in the water in the diffuser, and it helps her sleep through the night.  Of course, after all that, it's "Good night, stink face," and throwing different round plush objects at me before I escape the room.  This happens every night, and it's pretty funny.
