All Kinds of Things Going On

Maddie was onstage again today, part of a group visiting Dinosaur Park at KidPak!  She was part of a smaller cast today, but she did really well with both services, not having any problems with her lines or the acting involved as well.  It was a great start to the ongoing story with the cast, although we started this series last week with a few different games and activities.  Here's the game we had this week:

We use the inflatable dinosaurs as much as we can, because they're funny!  Today's game involved trivia questions, and whoever missed three questions first got attacked by a T-rex!  The T-rex was the theme of the day, with a really solid message, and the return of the animated "Scribbles" characters!  Josh, Pastor Lance and I recorded the voices for this cartoon way back in February of 2020, way back when we thought we'd be doing this "Lost World" series in March of 2020.  But things happened, didn't they?  Anyway, the files for our voices were sitting there waiting all this time, and finally Josh did the animation for it, and the final product is fantastic.  It was a super solid morning, with a great message from Pastor Lance at the end.

We picked up some pizzas on the way home and all of us had pizza for lunch today once we got home.  And then it was time to get ready, because tonight was the big Y2K party.

Maddie's been looking forward to this all week.  She's been putting together her Y2K outfit, planning it out for several days now.  She did a great job!

As for me, I wore my "VOTE FOR PEDRO" shirt, which was a big hit.  It was spot-on too, a shirt from right there in 2006.  I have about four Napoleon Dynamite shirts, but this one was fairly obvious, and got a lot of comments.   If only I had some moon boots!

Anyway, it was a good night.  There were rides and games, and Maddie had a great time with friends outside.  The rain was pouring in the morning and early afternoon, but by the time this thing started, all was well and the weather was perfect, if not a little hot.  There was food there, these amazing tacos and cotton candy and popcorn too.

We got home afterwards, and Maddie was off studying.  The rest of us watched a movie called "Yesterday," which will probably result in us singing and listening to Beatles music the rest of the week.  It was a good movie though.  Maddie got to bed at a reasonable time - we read tonight, and then we prayed, and then it was time to get some rest.
