Art Gallery

Tonight we were at a reception at the Quinlan Visual Arts Center (or Qvac, for short).  The reason?  A members exhibition!  Yes, we have a family membership, and that gave us the privilege of submitting one piece of art per family member.  Indeed, amongst the prestigious artwork from the greater Hall County community, you can find Madison's picture hanging tall.  It's a very special picture to Daddy, and for the next few months, it'll be hanging in an art gallery.  But hers is not the only one!

You can see Mommy's pencil drawing here as well.  It's called "Notions," and we submitted it to the Quinlan just before we went on the cruise.  Tonight, there was a musician playing at the door, and small food items placed on a table in the center of the largest room.  Many guests strolled in to see their artwork or their friend's or family's artwork.  Everyone was complimentary, encouraging, and just really friendly here.  We overheard a few talking about our pieces while we were nearby, even though the people talking didn't know we were the artists - and the comments were so encouraging.  It was such a great atmosphere there.  Here's Daddy's submission:

This is a pencil drawing of the entrance to one of the cliff dwellings at Mesa Verde.  It's been hanging in Nana and Ye-Ye's house for a bit, but for the next few months, it'll be at the gallery with Madison's and Mommy's artwork.  It's just really special to have - all three of us - something on display at the gallery.  This might be a tradition we keep going for a while!

The rest of today was ballet and jazz for Madison, plus lots of work towards the new series for Daddy.  We're spending a lot of time with artwork and stage presentations.  And just wait until you see this set!  It's coming along very nicely, and just might be the best set of the entire year.  It's going to be something special!

Tonight, we read another few chapters from "The Bungalow Mystery."  We know the Aborns are behaving villainously, but we have to find our more about what's going on.  All three of us are wanting to turn the next page over and over again, but you have to stop reading some time - you can't read the entire book in one night, even though you might really want to.  Right?

Of course not.  But seriously, we do get Madison in bed.  And we're not that far behind.  It's late!

But first - the game's afoot!  We're about to "Get a Clue."  Mommy and Daddy are watching an old Sherlock Holmes movie with Roger Moore and Patrick MacNee.  It's actually not that bad!
