Time Machine

Time Machine Sunday!  Take a look at our awesome time machine on stage - today we got a visit from a girl from the Renaissance, which is a word that is nearly impossible for me to spell correctly the first time.  Easier to spell, we also had a visit from Annie Oakley - and suddenly we're off and running with a fun series that has a lot of influences from Bill and Ted.  In the spirit of things lately, the two main characters are girls - it's a lot of fun.  Madison really enjoyed it, and as usual took a book's worth of notes.

Daddy wanted to get some sleep at home, but right as he was about to fall asleep we found the woman he and Mommy visited on Friday … passed away.  It was Daddy's friend's mother - Alan.  So Daddy spent the remainder of the day in White County, which is always a drive filled with nostalgia, not all of it pretty.  But it was good to visit and be there for a friend.

Madison was finishing up her work in the meantime, piano and speech.  She spent some time watching "Ultimate Spider-Man" with Mommy, and doing some more of her artwork.  She's into drawing fish, which you will no doubt see soon here.

ANYWAY, it was a fall day today, one that was just beautiful for a drive, even though the purpose of the drive was melancholy.  Soon we'll be back up driving northward though, and seeing the leaves and all the splendor of fall, which officially begins this week.  The weather is perfect, and despite a heavy heart, there is peace.  She's in heaven with her husband, of this we're certain.  And that's the hope that we all have some day.
