White Tiger

So we've been binge-watching "Ultimate Spider-Man" lately - that would be Mommy, Daddy and Madison.  It started out with Daddy wanting to show Madison how cool Spider-Man was again, and he sort of got sucked into the cartoon, as did Mommy.  Now we're all watching it.  Madison's favorite character on show right now is White Tiger, of course.  This is a hero I have absolutely no idea about, but we're assuming because of the "Ultimate" part of this show, that means the character in the series doesn't have as much in common with the comic universe character.

So Mommy is still in recovery mode.  This will take time.  There is new medication for her to take, and it naturally makes her sleepy.  But it also takes away the pain and nausea, so it's sort of one of those instances where you have no choice but to rest, rest, and rest.  Which is what she largely did today, although she did tend to overdo it a little with basic housecleaning efforts.  The kitchen alone was a project, one that she enthusiastically took on - that is, until she started to feel a bit of discomfort again.  Fortunately, Nana and Ba-Ba are still on hand to lend an assist where necessary.  They spent the day here with Mommy, helping out - as Daddy went back to work.  Madison was at school, of course.  It was "Athletic Jersey Day" or something like that.  Madison's only 'team' shirt was one for Chestatee Elementary School, one for the Eagles.  She wore that to school today.

Today was Nana and Ba-Ba's last day with us - they're leaving early in the morning to go home.  The reason for their early flight is the tremendous amount of traffic in town on Saturday for football games, and this comic convention that goes on once a year, called Dragon Con.  So we basically said our goodbyes tonight, as they'll more than likely be up before we are.

We are up a lot at night.  This is just all part of the healing process for Mommy - the plumbing is getting back into shape again, and she's having to get up a few times in the night.  Fortunately, the pain medication is there, as is her hubby, who is by her side to get her a drink, or a refill of Squishy, her hot water bottle.
