We got to go to church together tonight! It's an unusual opportunity, although Daddy is supposed to be able to attend more often. The workload as of late has been prohibitive in that direction, however, and so these moments come along and it truly becomes a big deal. Daddy and Mommy sat in service, while Madison did the same. And for that occasional moment of the year, Madison's service was something Daddy was not a part of. She enjoyed it, of course. We know that her favorite teacher spoke, Ms. Halson. She spoke about Balaam and his donkey, and used a clip from "Shrek" to help illustrate a talking donkey. Daddy helped get that clip together today.
It was a chilly night, but it was also a supremely chilly day. To make matters worse, there are a lot people quite sick again. It's a resurgence of fevers and sniffles, when back in January everything seemed to be on the mend. Fortunately, the three of us have been okay as of late.
There was tennis practice today, which Madison still enjoys quite a bit. We'll be keeping this class, as you might suspect. She not only enjoys it, but she seems to be doing pretty well with it as well. She is quite disciplined, and listens carefully to her teacher so that she can improve her game.
Easter production meetings today did not go according to plan, but that'll be one of things that has to get done in the coming weeks. We'll see how all this plays out, but at present we don't have a script completed. Which isn't the best sign. But there it is. Whatever it is that is agreed upon, we'll go with. But that will be a big story for the next few weeks: practices, practices, practices. Also costumes and scripts and props and dancers and so on. Easter is a big deal, pretty much the biggest service of the year. So there's a bit of stress there to get it done right.
Stay tuned for that one.
