Level Up

Today was a big day in regards to kindergarten, which starts this Thursday - only a few days away.  We had an open house down the street at the school, and essentially the entire county was there in the parking lot, leaving the only parking spots for those of us with four wheel drive.  Still, we managed to find a parking spot (Mommy backed up and jumped a ramp with a quick turbo boost to the roof).  THEN, we made our way inside to meet Madison's new kindergarten teacher, Mrs. Garrett.  We hung around the cafeteria as well, and filled out a squillion forms (that's the word of the week, in case you haven't noticed yet).  Madison met a few of her classmates and seemed to be really comfortable in class, which is great to see.  Her teacher seems to be a big fan of Dr. Seuss, which should also be a lot of fun. Speaking of fun, here's a little gizmo that brought some smiles this afternoon:

It's the Wisenheimer 3.0!  The invention itself is a device we use for a skit to "read minds" and project silly images up on the screen at certain points.  We've been using one Mommy designed for the past few years, and it's been pretty cool.  BUT, we learned that a Disney Imagineer is a member of our church out in California, and he actually went through the trouble of designing a new Wisenheimer invention, as you see above.  It is loaded with lights and is extremely cool.  The kids will really love this thing when we get to use it - which I'm suddenly anxious to do!  But also in the anxious department:  I'd love to talk with this Imagineer.  So far, a few of the other workers have had this opportunity, and they've really enjoyed it.  Personally, I think they're keeping me from him because I might jump ship to work for Disney.  Seriously, you think I'd do that?

Okay, maybe you have a point...

Madison's visit today was fun.  As mentioned above, she's going into kindergarten - so that means she's moving up a level at church too.  She'll be in KidPak Jr. soon, along with our friend Halston, who currently oversees the kids in that grade level.  Here they are, fooling around today when Madison visited:

It's going to be a fun year!
