Mommy scanned this picture of Ye Ye, much younger, and it has been a source of amusement for us here. What an expression! Today was his birthday, so Mommy, Daddy and Madison hopped into the car to go for a quick visit. Mommy made cupcakes and Madison made a card for Ye Ye. Later on, we'll have an "official" birthday party when everyone can be there together, but as today was the real day, we just wanted to stop by for a quick hello. Madison loves Ye Ye, and immediately jumps out of the car to say hello. Of course, everyone loves Ye Ye! He was busy working on one of his projects at home - one of many that keeps him busy outside of work. Constantly working with tools, he's always building something neat for somebody. In fact, Madison still enjoys the puppet theater he made for her at Christmastime.
We sat and talked about all sorts of things, although Daddy's health sort of dominated a bit of the conversation. Today we had another doctor's visit, which in turn will lead to two more different doctors' visits, one who specializes in lungs and another with the digestive path. The lung doctor was a surprise, although nothing completely unexpected. Daddy has been wheezing for quite some time, but evidently something happened in the hospital that got the doctor's attention. Unfortunately, no one bothered to tell Daddy about it - that is, until we visited the local doctor today. She was quite informative, and at least I have a feeling like there may be some resolution on down the road. Until then, I'm afraid I'm a bit medicated and overanxious to be better. I do not like being this sick one bit. I will use wisdom, but I cannot sit around in bed all day anymore! By gum!
Madison had school today, which is winding down, of course. She'll be out in about three weeks time, I suppose. It's been really good for her and we're so glad she's been going. She has no problems socially, despite the communication factor - hopefully that trend will continue into next school year. We'll be keeping a sharp eye on that.
