The Queen's Galactic Passport

May the Fourth Be With You. Today is "Star Wars" Day, and as we noted last year: the force is strong with Madison. Above is her new Galactic Passport for Star Tours. Unfortunately, next week we'll just miss the grand opening of the new Star Tours experience at Disney Hollywood Studios - though we may be back later in the year. It doesn't matter: we're so looking forward to our trip to Disney soon!

Until then, there's still plenty of time for lightsaber duels and movie marathons. This morning, Daddy got her a present: a Queen Amidala dress-up doll. I've had this doll TEN YEARS, just waiting to give it to Madison some day. Seriously, I got it ten years ago thinking some day I could bless my future daughter with a nice Barbie-sized doll to play with. So, this doll has been hiding in a box for ten years, just waiting for the right moment. I figured: what better moment than Star Wars Day, huh?

It was all wrapped up in wrapping paper like it was some sort of big time holiday, and Madison tore right into it. She definitely liked the doll, but what's not to like when it comes to a dress up doll for a four-year-old?

Anyway, it was a good morning with Madison. Today was a big-time work day, as we're gearing up for the vacation. But we're so happy right now, because in just a few days we'll be able to take a deep breath and relax.

May the force be with you!

Anakin: I hitched a ride on a cargo freighter.
Padme Amidala: What happened to your military transport?
Anakin Skywalker: Eh... it blew up.
