Da-rink!

We've drove down to Ba-ba and Nana's house without any incident whatsoever. It was a completely dull drive, which is just fine when you begin to really think about it. Of note may be this: the Georgia Department of Transportation seems to be nearing it's completion of all that construction on I-75 way down in south Georgia. This is significant because I cannot honestly remember a time when there wasn't construction on that stretch of road.

Here's something worth writing about: Madison is connecting the first letters of words to the rest of the words. Today's achievement: Da-rink. Drink. It is such a huge deal that Daddy was near tears when she said, "da-rink!"

Of course, Mommy and Daddy are jumping up and down and Madison is probably wondering what exactly our problem is!

This vacation is going to be unique: we're bringing a camera along that we purchased for Madison. It's her very own camera! She loves snapping photos using a cell phone, and knows how to do it too. Mommy found a great child-proof camera that can hold up to 1,000 photos. We figure that'll be enough!

We got to Ba-ba and Nana's house, and they of course were delighted to see everyone. They had a big meal for us, and everyone got a chance to get a good night's rest. This would be just before we went to the kitchen and got ourselves a da-rink!
