High Art

Madison explored her artistic side this morning, thanks to some help from Mommy. She had some contact paper on the refrigerator, which allowed her to stick random objects upon it - such as fabric, feathers, pipe cleaners, buttons, yarn, rhinestones and various shapes.

Here you can see her in the midst of a creative burst of energy, the passion just guiding her hands, each finger just pulsating with explosions of artistic fervor! Other parents are claiming their children are abstract art prodigies, but seriously: this masterpiece above takes the art world by storm, and to a whole new level!

I know you are probably speechless after looking at that. It's one of those pieces you just sit there and stare at for long periods of time, sort of getting lost in the majesty of it all.

Today the weather warmed up just long enough for us to take a nice walk down to the lake. Madison enjoyed throwing small rocks off the dock, making small splashes. The wind made things a little chilly, but at least the sun was there to warm us up some. She's been full of energy the last few days, so it was good to get her doing some things like that. Also, Daddy took her for a trip around town for some chores, including a stop at the bank.

She always gets a sucker there. Today's was lime, so her tongue was green for a big part of the day. You simply say the word bank and she gets a little excited. She's going to grow up thinking the bank is another word for "candy store!"
