Swinophobia

This year at the Gwinnett County Fair, Madison was bumped by a runaway pig.  It wasn't a huge ordeal, but Madison was stunned enough to not want to go near pigs for a while.  What could we do to help her with her swinophobia?

Thank goodness for Olivia!  Today we picked up another Olivia the Pig book called "Olivia and the Missing Toy."  Madison enjoyed it very much, but Mommy and Daddy like these books too!  Madison wore her pink pig pajamas as she sat in Daddy's lap, listening to the mysterious story of the missing toy.  Mommy listened in too... it was quite riveting!

The rain stayed with us all day pretty much.  It was colder too, but we did what we could inside.  Daddy worked a little, and Mommy worked a lot with cleaning up the house.  We should let Mommy do an entry in the blog called:  "Attack of the Never Ending Laundry Monster."

Daddy also pulled out the fall decorations to help get the house all nice and festive.  Madison dragged her princess tent out into the kitchen and had Daddy climb inside again.

Later, we went again to see Doc Williams the chiropractor.  Madison was hilarious - as soon as we entered the room she was checking our feet on the smaller table and then putting us on the taller table to make adjustments.  She was all finished by the time Doc Williams actually came into the room - but that didn't stop her from squealing when she saw him.  She ran up onto the kids' table (it's shaped like a little horse).  Before he even said anything, she lay down, face down on the table with her head in the little slot - she was ready to go!  She giggled the entire visit, and had fun with her friends at the office.  It's always fun with her.

Afterwards, Mommy picked up some nice winter clothing for Madison.  She tried it on this evening and did a few twirls for us.  She was quite giddy with excitement over wearing her new outfits, even if they were still a little warm for her now.

Also today, along with the Olivia book, we picked up a few other seasonal books for her, including one about fall and one about being thankful.  We read all of those tonight before bed - Madison really likes story time.  One book we found was "Emmet Otter's Jug-Band Christmas."  What a find!  Mommy and Daddy really like that story and can't wait to share it with Madison when Christmas time comes.

By the way, Olivia does find her missing toy.  I'm just not going to tell you where.  You'll have to read that for yourself!
