Jug Band

     Mamma plays the spoons and Maddie plays the washboard, and Daddy plays the jug that drives the beat along (he would have played the washtub bass, but there ain't no hole in the washtub!).  

     It was another Sunday afternoon jam session at the house.  We were listening to Steve Martin's newest banjo music collection, and our toes were tapping.  We did a bit of dancing in circles, even pulling a few stuffed animals in to our square dancing routines.  

     Well, one thing led to another and Mommy had to pull out the spoons!  After a bit of spoon clicking, Maddie had to try it too.  And that's when Mommy got the great idea to bring out the washboard.  Madison played that washboard while the banjo played and the spoons clicked!  It was a bluegrass hoedown!
