One tree down, a few to go! The Star Wars tree is officially up and looking good. It looks good, with some new locations for some ornaments, and you can see the Star Wars snowman line-up there at the bottom. The Death Star towers overhead on top, and the Star Wars tree skirt that Mom made is at the bottom. It's a good looking tree with some new ornaments, and maybe we'll add some more new ones before the season is over with. In the meantime, here are a few photos I took of a few of the ornaments on the tree.
I've had this one so long. We got it at an ornament exchange, maybe the only ornament exchange I've been to where I really wanted one of the ornaments and got it in the end. I remember I got it without too much effort either. Every time I see this stormtrooper, I think of Greg and Judy's Christmas parties, which were so much fun back in the 90's.
It's a great tree. I had the wand part plugged in all year round without realizing it, and I couldn't seem to turn the lights on when they were attached to the extension cord. I didn't realize the extension cord was plugged into a the control for the wand - meaning, once I realized I needed the wand, I got it and pressed the button on the wand and sure enough, all the lights turned on. Yay me!
Anyway, we were at the office today for a good bit. Mom and I were at a video call meeting with the nutritionist, who's getting us prepped for the "brain clear" part of our detox. Yikes, that means getting up at 3am every night. Yeah, there are these pills we have to take every four hours, and that means getting up in the middle of the night. On top of that, there's a bunch of other pills we're doing too, supplement after supplement. But we're moving along!
Maddie had taekwondo tonight, and meanwhile I was at the grocery store picking up a lot of items we've been needing. Lots of people at the grocery store. We got home and watched a few episodes of "Hawkeye" again, a Christmas tradition by this point. After that, we had time for some reading from the Discworld, and after that we said our prayers. Time to get some sleep!
