Thanksgiving Season is Here

What fun we had at KidPak today, and really it was a great service all throughout.  The story of David and Jonathan's friendship was the theme, and we gave a Thanksgiving twist with Pilgrims and a special turkey.  It was just so much fun to have Pilgrims and a turkey up there.  Mom was so great with the costuming as always, and the set turned out nice too.  The skit was really well-received, and the Wisenheimer invention bit was great too.  The worship and the message of course were the highlight of the day, and and Maddie got some nice pictures of the start of our Friendsgiving series.  Here's just a few of them below, mostly from the skit.  That big foam turkey up there on the table is about twenty years old now, by the way.  We've been using that for so long!  Anyway, here's the pictures:

After that, Maddie went to enjoy that second service upstairs in the main sanctuary, as has been her custom since college started.  She's enjoying service, and got to sit with some familiar faces that were over at our house this past Friday.

Maddie went over to Nate's, and that was a good day for her of course.  I was on the treadmill with the Thanksgiving walk while watching a Christmas movie - or is it?  "Batman Returns" takes place at Christmas time, so does that make this movie a Christmas movie?  Anyway, I was marching along the virtual path today.

I think it's pretty funny that this is a squirrel-themed Thanksgiving.  Nevertheless, it's cute, and each day I get to add something I'm thankful for on comments for each walk.

With this perpetual cough, I do these breathing treatments that have been pretty helpful.  One big accomplishment is that I got about 97% of the Star Wars tree up - I'll share pictures tomorrow when it's done.  But we had some Christmas movies playing, "Godmothered" and the old one, "A Mom for Christmas."  By that point I was pretty close to finished, and by that point, Maddie got home from her day.

We closed out the day watching episode two of "Hawkeye," and then reading and a bed filled with the Plush Entourage, and then prayers.  Daylight Savings time gave us an extra hour, but it's weird at night!  Anyway, time for some sleep hopefully.  It's been tough lately, but here goes!
