Jurassic-a-thon

We're moving through the Jurassic Park movies, although we don't own "The Lost World," so tonight we went to "Jurassic Park III," which is an underrated movie, really.  We joined Dr. Alan Grant on another adventure to Isla Sorna, which we've learned since is still there - hit by a hurricane and abandoned, and yet there are likely still plenty of dinosaurs there, including our friend, the beloved Spinosaurus.  This dino takes center stage in this sequel, and I might be in the minority here, but I like him/her.  It's a very terrifying creature.  Anyway, we all enjoyed that tonight, and then the next episode of "The Chosen" before bedtime.  Yes, we read tonight, and beyond that we were saying our prayers before bedtime.  The rubber duck is winding up in new places to be discovered, and life goes on.  Or as Ian Malcom would say, "Life finds a way."

Today Maddie was at Chestatee again, and she's got a lot to say about her adventure there.  She's clearly enjoying her experience at her old school, and having a great time helping other smaller students.  She's learning to moderate her tone, asking kids to get more focused at times in a polite voice, and then adding a bit of firmness if later on it is needed.  Her teacher seems content with her progress, and the students are really enjoying their experience there.  Today there was a party in one of her classes, one that involved a lot of apples, and there was a pep rally too, one that Maddie enjoyed more because she was with friends.  She was happy one of the contestants she was cheering for in the games had won.

I picked her up in the car line, and we were getting ready pretty quickly to go to taekwondo from there.  I didn't get to see Maddie at taekwondo, as I was out at various grocery stores, picking up goods and items from Mom's grocery list.  It's miserable driving out there, so much rain today.  We were glad to get home where it was safe and warm.  No Spinosaurus around, except on television.

We said our prayers tonight, and got to sleep shortly afterwards.
