Blob!

The running joke with characters this series at KidPak has been a blobfish ray gun.  It zaps people, and they temporarily think they are blobfish.  Basically, they just flop down on stage and the only thing they do is say, "Blob!"  So that's why Jingle Bell is seen here doing the same thing, and if you look at what he's brought, it's a Blobfish Christmas Tree t-shirt.  Very specific, but Madison loves it.  She looked at it later on tonight, and just started giggling at the blobfish there on the shirt.
We watched "Elf" tonight, and it's fun to watch some of these classics with Nana, who hasn't seen every single one of these, or at least doesn't remember them all.  This one was striking her as funny, and it was nice sitting on the couch like that.  It gave me a chance to calm the high blood pressure down.

So here's the tree from the doctor's office - festive!  I was at the doctor's this morning, and I'm actually glad I went.  Again, the blood pressure was super high.  This may have had something to do with the massive amount of traffic I encountered on the way there.  It took an hour to get to Flowery Branch.  Anyway, the readings were high, and so there is some new medication involved that's a bit more heavy.  I am feeling a bit of the side effect now, a stomach ache.  But  the other symptoms of tingling and so forth, those have calmed down somewhat tonight.  It was bad leaving taekwondo though.  Speaking of which, here's Madison at the latter part of her practice.

You can see she's swinging that sword around, and you can see Mom and Nana in the background, looking on.  Earlier, they were cheering on Madison - quietly - as she sparred against a few other boys.  The one boy rushed forward towards her and got a good kick to the head!

The sword play comes in during the leadership class, which is that extension after regular class.  Madison and several others attend that class, and each season they do different weapons.  We're drawing to a close with the sword, but she'll return to that eventually.

As for now, she's improved greatly.  You can see Mr. Edge there to the right, and of course Madison doing a combo as we look on through the window.

She wasn't fond of the sword to begin with, but as she's gotten more accustomed to it, she's enjoying it more.  Again, I'll have to let her go in the front yard and try some of her new moves with a lightsaber.  I'm sure she'll enjoy that!

She was doing social studies homework tonight, and she had a good day at school.  Math is getting a little tricky, but she's not so worried about it yet.  She's glad she's not in that accelerated class, where she says students keep telling her how intense it is.  She's right where she needs to be, and right where she wants to be.

Okay, if I'm going to keep with the strict bedtime procedures... I'm already past my bedtime.  That being said, it was a decent day.  We'll have another good one tomorrow!
