Awful News

We got a call this morning, and it was not a quiet night for Ba-Ba.  He was in pain, and up in the night dealing with what we now know is a serious infection.  Simultaneous with his other condition, this was a turn for the worse, and has altered our plans for this weekend significantly.  The symptoms of stomach pain and fever are some of those one things of with the virus that is currently going around, but he was tested for that today and the good news is that he does not have any virus like that.  It's bad though, and he's going to be in the hospital for a bit.  We are going down there to Florida to help out Nana, who will hopefully appreciate our company.  Mommy is packing things, because it may be that like last October, she'll stay a few weeks, hopefully until a point that Ba-Ba will leave the hospital.

This was the flavor of our day, unfortunately.  And really, the cancelled plans are not that big of a deal.  It's just a distressing situation, one filled with uncertainty.  We were packing tonight, getting things ready for a spontaneous trip to Daytona on Labor Day weekend.  I can't help but think of all the people going there on Labor Day weekend for a weekend of parties and so forth.  Hopefully it will be nice and quiet for us.

Madison got out of school early today, and the initial plans were to do a chiropractor appointment, but that wouldn't have worked out with the timing.  I was at work, getting certain things together like our weekly letter and a few more devotional entries as well.  I only have one more to go, and may just do that one down in Florida, finishing up the booklet there.  We'll miss church this weekend, but that's okay, as this is important.

Madison did have a leadership class tonight in taekwondo, and it was something new for her, given that she usually only goes on Mondays and Thursdays.  But she got out of school early today, and that gave her time to get to taekwondo.  She had a good time tonight.  We had plans to see the "Esther" program tonight, but given the live nature of it, we weren't sure if we'd be interrupted by a phone call or something like that.  So it was off to bed early tonight, early for all of us.  We read from our books, of course.  And Madison caught a few episodes of "Suite Life on Deck."  But there's a lot of questions circulating in our minds right now, plots and plans as to what's next.  We'll take it day by day.  Tonight we prayed for Ba-Ba, and prayed for a lot going on right now.
