The floor is lava in 3... 2... 1!
Of course, it's not really lava. It's only pretend. But what if it were really lava? Yeah, that would be a perilous situation. Fortunately, Jingle Bell and Snowflake seem to have some serious wall crawling skills.
Today was Wednesday, but we didn't have KidPak tonight - instead, Daddy was out there in the cold with all the other church folk at Lake Lanier Islands Amphitheater, enjoying a nice Christmas-themed service, along with some hot chocolate. Maybe this year we'll return to see the lights together, although not tonight. Tonight, Madison had to get to bed early, given that she had a late night last night, and that she has to get up early in the morning.
School today was fun for Madison, particularly her photography class afterwards. It's an "enrichment" class, where the kids get to pick something they're interested in. Madison clearly wants to do this one again. Today was the last class for the year, one where the students showed their pictures to everyone else in class. Mommy and Daddy got to see the pictures when she got home, and why not take a look yourself:
She took these with a little camera, one that all the kids were given. But maybe next time, she'll be using her own camera. We're working on that angle here at home. She might be taking lots of pictures for Christmas.
Tonight, we're snuggling under the blankets - it's cold out there. We're layered up with the clothing, and although it's not as frigid as you could be further north, we're still shivering a bit. We're just not acclimated to this sort of thing yet. But something tells me that this year, we should start getting more used to it.
For warmth, we'll all gather around the elf tonight, and that nice hot lava counter...
