Madison is officially involved in the KidPak game now, the one we call "Get a Clue." Many, many, many other kids are too. Daddy is the point man for the emails and photos that come in of all the parents and kids doing the game together. And there are many pictures like the one you see above coming in. Everyone is in on it, wanting to play the game. Madison's first picture here leads her to the next step, which is to "investigate an ice cream place." This is just a way of getting families out together, eating ice cream together. They send that picture in to our website, to Daddy, of themselves getting ice cream. And then they receive an official clue that might clear one of the suspects names. Madison will find out shortly: we're going to a very special place to get ice cream!
Madison did have piano today, which went well again. Daddy spent the entire time getting an update from Mrs. Pam's husband about the state of their house, about the progress and the rebuilding which hasn't really started yet. The storm came on 9-11, when three trees went through their roof. So the process takes a while from an administrative point of view, at least for them it does. Meanwhile, Nana and Ye-Ye are doing okay, although they have to replace the siding on their entire house, which they're currently waiting for at the moment. Otherwise, they're pleased with the progress of things.
We're getting the house ready for a pumpkin party upcoming. Also, we have a short trip coming up too. It's been a while since we've headed north instead of south, but with a school-shortened day, we'll be taking advantage of that to head to the Great Smoky Mountains once more to see all the leaves, and probably something more.
Tonight we read from the Bungalow Mystery, and also Daddy's devotional about Sherlock Holmes. Madison is surprisingly into it, paying close attention. We're really into the mystery theme at KidPak now - the kids are loving it. The game's afoot!
