Maddie got called out tonight in the audience by Pastor Tucker, and it wasn't for anything bad - it was fun, because he was talking about what it takes to earn a black belt. So he was looking for Maddie in the audience, and then everyone all around Maddie were suddenly pointing her out - it was funny!
So we're still in resting mode, moving a lot of laundry around - washing dancer costumes, Bible robes, Roman guard outfits, and so on. Oh, and speaking of Roman, over in Italy the Conclave is just getting together I think, with a bunch of cardinals over there gathering to decide the next Pope. It's not a huge part of our lives, but it's interesting nonetheless. Of course there are the usual issues in the background, like "is this the last Pope of prophecy?" We'll see what unfolds, but if the guy names himself "Peter," then there'll be a bunch of folks really going crazy...
It's been rainy, and that's been great for us. Lots of thunder, but nothing terribly violent out there. I got some weed and feed out there this morning after the big rain. Oh, and here's a little something that happened: we made a really really fast visit to the dentist for some new updated Invisalign braces, which seem to be doing okay by the way. But the last time we were down at the dentist there in Alpharetta, we told Maddie that yeah, sure, we'll get some shawarma.
And so yeah, we got some shawarma at the Jerusalem Bakery. Maddie loves this shawarma. We both got some platters and had a nice meal there before moving on back home. Traffic wasn't too bad and we got back pretty quick.
Not too much time after church tonight - we're trying to get some sleep, and we didn't read as Maddie was working on homework. It's crunch time! We did say our prayers, and we were quickly to sleep after this.
