Maddie Art

Maddie recently brought home a lot of her artistic creations from this year in school, and she lined them all up in the piano room there, creating her own little exhibition area for us to tour through.  She then gave us our own little guided tour through the area, talking about each picture.  It's hard to pick a favorite, although I do love the water color of Crosshair and Hunter so much that I want to get it framed!  I scanned a few of them above, photos from her photography class, watercolors and pencil drawings too.

The Final Countdown is here, the last days of public school for Maddie.  There's a lot to do this season - so much.  She's got homework and studying and just a lot of other little things along the way.  We have our tasks too, getting ready for a graduation party amongst them.  Mom and I have been cleaning up post-Easter and of course we're getting ready for the future at KidPak too, with new booklets and new series.  Lots going on.

No taekwondo tonight, but plenty of homework.  Mom and I watched an old movie tonight that wasn't too bad.  It was called "The Librarian," and is part of a trilogy that actually stretched further.  It sort of combined elements of Indiana Jones with "Night at the Museum," and a whole lot of early 2000's TNT made-for-television special effects (translation:  awful).  But that's the charm of some of these things, and for the most part it was a fun movie.

Maddie and I continued with our reading tonight, "Carpe Jugulum," learning that you never invite a vampire over to your kingdom, even if you want to play nice.  Regardless, they'll want to take over and kill a lot of you.  They'll seem nice, and you might even enjoy their company.  But invite them in, and you'll be regretting it quite a bit!

We said our prayers after that and soon got ourselves to bed with no vampires around.

At least I don't think there are any.
