So the deluge that was supposed to be during trick-or-treating did eventually come - but much later. Or earlier, from a certain point of view. It was so loud, it woke us all up - this huge downpour in the middle of the night, just drenching anything left out there. It was as if our whole entire neighborhood got power washed after the Halloween festivities.
Today was a much more quiet day, of course. It was one where we did quite a bit of cleaning up, of course. Madison woke up this morning, met Daddy and yelled out, "Happy November!" While this isn't the thing we normally would shout out, I suppose I can get behind that. For example, we can get ready for all the Christmas and Thanksgiving stuff now, which is always exciting to look forward to.
We got some pictures from yesterday in class - just a few!
That was fun - we'll have to do it again some time. You can see Madison at Mommy's table, making a delicious orange soda treat. Daddy was stuck with the messy popcorn table, but it was still a good time for everyone!
Tonight was a nice night at Texas Roadhouse for dinner. We went there again tonight, this time as a part of celebration of Daddy's birthday - and Nana Green's birthday too. Madison munched on peanuts a whole lot, just like she always does. To her, if we say "Texas Roadhouse," she actually hears, "Peanuts!"
Daddy had to go back to work for a bit after that, but we did get to spend some time together tonight as a family beforehand. Nana and Ba-Ba are going back home tomorrow morning, so it is kind of bittersweet here. We'll see each other again in a few weeks though, as Thanksgiving is just around the corner.
A lot is just around the corner, in fact!
