Daddy made a surprise visit to Madison's tennis class to peek in on her, and it looked like she was having a great time! She was hitting about 90% of the balls back, and over the net too - which means that the next time Daddy goes to play, he'll have to be better on his game!
Today is the long day for Daddy, so it was nice to go see her if only briefly. It's difficult to make that drive from Gainesville to Cumming, especially during rush hour. But it was worth it to see her smile, and see her hitting the court! Mommy is with her every time, sitting in the bleachers and watching on for her progress. Nana and Ba-Ba would be pretty proud to see her form, particularly in learning the backhand stroke.
What a great week we've had each morning. It's been downright chilly a few times, and the one morning there was a raise in temperature, it was raining. And dank. "Dank" is one of those words that Daddy used to use all the time. It's King's English, evidently, outdated and old. Now, the word suddenly means something else entirely, to the point that when Daddy said at the church office, it's dank outside, everyone looked at him like he was on drugs.
Anyway, this is the perfect weather to put a fire in the fireplace. And wrap presents too! Daddy and Mommy get up so early to drop Madison off that we actually have enough time to watch a Christmas movie before Daddy has to go to work. So we've done that a few times, or sometimes we just pop in some Christmas music to listen to as the fireplace crackles. Meanwhile, we've been wrapping. And wrapping. And wrapping. I'd say about 85% of Madison's Christmas is ready right now. We only have a few things left to wrap, and Santa has to get just a few more things as well, based on Madison's list. It's been all "Christmassy" in the morning, which is pretty fun and different. At night time, we're a bit tired, so there hasn't been much time for even watching anything, but we'll still try for a Christmas movie short. We've got so many to watch!
