Just in time for the season, here's a visitor to our back deck - he's got a big web across the doorway of the back door. Hopefully he's not trying to catch one of us!
Today we had our first meeting for the Christmas drama upcoming, which looks to be a little intensive, although not quite as bad as previously imagined. We'll certainly be spending a lot of time in practice, although we won't be as worried about as many drama characters. In fact, it seems more related to dancers, musicians and choreography.
Mommy and Daddy had a date at Red Lobster afterwards, which was pretty unique - no date "nights" anymore, but we do get some time for things like that while Madison is at school. Daddy tried something new today: shrimp tacos. They were a bit spicy, as you'd expect from something with a Mexican flair. But Daddy didn't like them as much. It basically tasted like shrimp inside a taco, which was a concept that just didn't work. But I tried it!
Madison got home, and we did get a bit of piano practice in today, and we got a lot done in that direction. Madison did much better today with practice, and our duets are turning out well also. One homework assignment upcoming is writing our own musical piece using just three notes - we'll hopefully get to that soon, so we can practice it.
We did some more homework today as well, practicing with the letter H, which you can find at the beginning of words like "hedgehog" and "horseshoe," (and "heliotrope"). After this, it was time for dinner (at least for Madison: Mommy and Daddy were full!).
Tonight we listened to about five chapters of the fairies' adventure, featuring Tinkerbell, Prilla, Rani and Vidia. It seems as if a hurricane has struck, and Madison was indeed quite focused on the adventure now: would Mother Dove's egg be okay? We'll have to wait until tomorrow and see!
