Strawberry Goodness

Meet our strawberry - just one of the many fruit characters we have in our new series, "Juicy Fruit." She's actually the smallest of the characters we've got, and Asian as well. Therefore, she's got to be modeled after Madison, right?

Tomorrow is the big kick off for the series, which is going to be pretty awesome. We'll be talking about the Fruit of the Spirit this month, and we have a lot of fun skits. And as you can see below, Mommy has made some really fun costumes:

Today we went to the Gainesville College track, and did a video about "first fruits." You can see above that they are about to race and see which fruit is first - not quite getting the concept, apparently. Hence the video. It was really funny watching these big fruits race around the track!

It’s a fruit gusher! The fruit is just falling off the branches: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control – the Fruit of the Spirit! What kind of fruit are you producing? Is it wave after wave of smooth tropical goodness, bursting with yummy flavor? Or are you just making sour grapes? Join us now and see what it takes to create a scrumptious explosion of fruit sensation in our lives! It’s fruit-a-licious fun, so sink your teeth into the best kind of fruit there is: Juicy Fruit!

We've been at the office all day and late into the night - but we were all very blessed to have Mommy and Madison visit. Here's Madison below, working on a box robot.

Needs some arms! In the meantime, Mommy was busy putting together a display case - just like she does each month. She's done this monthly display case with a different theme each time, and she's been doing it for YEARS! This goes back at least six years or so, when we were first moving into this new church building. Pretty amazing when you stop to think about it. Each display case is filled with items related to that monthly theme. For example, when we did "Exodus," we had pyramids and Egyptians and all sorts of artifacts. When we did "Wonderland," there were tea cups, cards and other items. When we did "Kung Pow," we had all sorts of items from China inside.

Mommy works very hard on making this presentation for parents and kids to see, and each month is a fantastic display. Here's an early peek at the display case for "Juicy Fruit" tomorrow.

If you look closely, you can see some raisins - the California Raisins! There are actually nine different ones in that case. Daddy collected them from Hardee's a long time ago when these raisins were pretty popular. To us, they still are: just this past week we watched them in that Christmas special. Madison likes raisins, by the way. They're tasty!
