Pastor Jacob gets to finally eat! |
Daniel here told us that he's going to be in the production of "The Gift" this Saturday! |
She had a good night though - there was a panel attempting to answer some tough questions - like why do bad things happen to good people. That sort of thing.
Speaking of which, Mom and I were at home watching the movie "I Heard the Bells," which was well done, and quite emotional. Not the sort of light-hearted movie you jump into with candy canes and so forth. But it was good, and of course I'll never hear that song, "I've Heard the Bells" the same way again. In fact, I'm sort of wanting to get a book of the poet Longfellow's work now. New appreciation for him!
So this afternoon we had our annual KidPak Office Thanksgiving, and that was really, really nice!
We are very blessed. It was a nice occasion. Mr. Quick brought his usual cheesy noodles, but he also brought along his joke item, some "finger food." A lot of people came - it was just nice to get everyone together and eat Josh's turkey, Camille's stuffing, and Mom's incredibly popular sweet potato casserole. We had a lot of food there. And it was just nice sitting there talking with one another, relaxing, and giving thanks for the wonderful blessings upon us all.
Speaking of which, it was a really nice day today. We closed out with reading, and with prayers as always. We're going quickly through "The Best Christmas Pageant Ever," and it's been a fun book. We got to sleep tonight on time, ready to get some rest and tackle the rest of the week.
