It was Life Day today, so Mom got everything ready for us before heading off to taekwondo - we had the "Christmas in the Stars" record playing in the background, only because I make sure we hear that one once a year. But she had a few gifts on the table too, along with a few friends there. As for the gifts, you can see the fruit snacks, but all wrapped up there are a new Porg t-shirt, and some new ornaments for our Star Wars tree!
Here's Ahsoka, a smaller ornament about the size of the Mandalorian we got last year. But she takes up a prominent spot on the tree, right up front because she's so cool. My favorite ornament of the two is this one though:
Taekwondo was one of those things we would have liked to attend the entirety of, but there was a really massive back-up on Browns Bridge Road that we didn't know was there until it was too late, and we were somewhat trapped. We wound up making it to taekwondo, but for only twenty minutes before we turned around and went home. Crazy!
Anyway, today we got the Narnia book to the printer, and they're laying it all out so it still needs to be proofed. We're also nailing down a lot of those details related to the Christmas production. Maddie's nailing down a lot of her classwork, including a model she's been working on for some time. We'll share pictures of that later.
It was a decent day - a cold one though! We're clearing up the ice in the morning, and we're listening to all our Christmas CDs and music, going through all those one at a time. The piano room tree is almost complete, with the ribbon and lights up. By this weekend, we'll have the ornaments on there, and it will look nice too. Just one more big tree after that, our main tree, the one we got back in 2002. I know that is when we got it because immediately after picking that tree up, we went to see "The Santa Clause 2." Those two things are tied together in my mind now, and speaking of which, there's a new series based on those "Santa Clause" movies. It's been great - we've watched the second episode now, and it's been super fun and super nostalgic. We love the characters, and it's just a blast seeing everyone again.
We read tonight, and we said our prayers too. It was a long day today, but we got a few things done. Tomorrow is another full one too, and we have to get ready for it!
Maddie's pov:
Today in art, I have almost completed my art project. It's been really fun making it, and honestly, I didn't know if I was going to be able to finish it and be this close of being done with it by today since it's kinda due tomorrow.
