We're having a busy week. Maddie is not coming home, but rather staying at the school to rehearse for an upcoming production of "All Together Now!" She's really having a great time at the theater. This is the inaugural season of the East Forsyth High School theater, something I believe they're calling "Theatre East." It'll be great to visit there this Friday when the actual musical is put on stage, and be a part of that audience. Maddie is really looking forward to it, although there is a long way to go on certain musical numbers. They've had a short time to put this together, but I know it will come out very well.
It was a beautiful day outside, the temperature warming up nicely to a point of perfection where we at work were all dragging our laptops outside to a table in the courtyard to do our writing and work. We sat there outside for a considerable time on a beautiful, colorful day.
I got home and the Publix Pilgrims are back on the table, our Thanksgiving salt and pepper shakers from so long ago. These are such a tradition now, I'm sure for many other people too. But you really know you're in the Thanksgiving season when you see these two out on the table.
Tonight we were watching "The Preacher's Wife," while Maddie was catching up on homework. I was still working frantically on various projects too - lots of different things to do at the moment. We're writing things down, and the calendar is filling up quickly with upcoming events for this season: The Gift, a Nativity Festival, a Living Christmas Tree, Thanksgiving with family, the church's Christmas production, and even an upcoming online viewing of "A Christmas Carol," where we can watch one of our old friends from KidPak perform with a North Carolina production company. It's a busy season - but we're doing one thing at a time, starting with reading a story tonight, and then prayers, and a good night's rest.
