Captain Hook was rather dashing this morning, setting up a big finish to our ongoing Neverland story this month. The Lost Girls and Peter Pan are wanting a proper Thanksgiving, and Hook is showing signs of benevolence.
But it's of course a trap. We'll see what happens next time in just one week's time. This story of Neverland's Thanksgiving is about to wrap up, and who knows what'll happen!
We've been having a lot of fun back in Neverland, and it's moving by faster than a cannonball from Long Tom. This morning went by quickly too. We got home and had a nice feast already prepared by Mom, and then after that, we got ready to go right back to church. Maddie had a friend invited from school, and the two went to FCY's "Friendsgiving" event tonight.
It was essentially a normal service, except for the meal afterwards, somewhat of a Thanksgiving meal with chicken, mashed potatoes, green beans, rolls, and a few different kinds of desserts too. It was a pretty nice gathering!
And that was good, of course. It was a great night. The time together was good, and of course the service was really nice too.
We got home afterwards, and we watched a few Christmas movies when we got home, putting a fire in the fireplace for the first time. It's chilly outside, and the fire felt nice and warm, and it just looks nice in the fireplace there. We read from our book tonight, and were off to sleep - a little later though, because we can sleep in late tomorrow, and that's fine with everyone here! Thanksgiving Break is here.
