Here's one final look at the Scarlet Witch from last night's adventure. She's wanted to be this character the last few years, but there just hasn't been the right costume until this year. It may be something to do with the popularity of the WandaVision series, although this costume in particular wasn't something she wore in the series. Still, there's no doubt who she is if you know the character, and she got some comments about her costume, which is something hopefully she can wear again some day. It looks great!
I took a picture we made on the front porch and added a few little bits for fun. Can you believe we're at November again? Yep, it's time to take down the Halloween stuff, and put up the Christmas trees and so forth. True story - I started decorating the Star Wars tree upstairs today. This week I'll get to the rustic tree in the front room and then after that the main tree. It's a big process, this Christmas thing.
I went to get the scarecrow today from the botanical gardens. It held up okay, but it's definitely seen some wear and tear over this windy, rainy season. These poor scarecrows have endured quite a bit. Autumn Beauty was ready to come back home, and is currently in the garage, taking a well-deserved rest. We'll be back at the gardens soon with a new project that Mom has been working towards. She's at home multi-tasking, one of her assignments being a whole lot of new cardinal-themed ornaments that she's creating by hand. You'll see those on this page soon enough.
It was a beautiful day today, although it's supposed to get cold later on this week. We had our taekwondo tonight, and yes, we actually had time to watch a Christmas movie tonight, "Jingle Jangle." It was pretty good, actually, a nice little Christmas movie to start the season out.
We continued our reading adventure with book VI of the "Kingdom Keepers" series, and I believe Maddie is thoroughly hooked. We said our prayers after that, and all of us needed a good night's rest tonight... which we got.
