As part of our series that starts tomorrow, we wanted to have some videos shot where hosts were talking to the kids while actually fishing. So today we went fishing, and it was a lot of fun. It was a private pond, a nice, quite place. The weather was dry, but it was cooler, especially with the wind. The idea was to do some fishing, and do some filming - and just look who the first person to catch a fish was!
We'd been fishing for a bit, and Madison started calling out, "I caught one!" Look how excited she is at her prize!
This ironically was the biggest fish we caught all day. In fact, this was one of the few fish we caught today - the total tally was four fish caught. Daddy didn't catch any, nor did Pastor Lance here.
We spent about five hours there by the pond, and it is one of those deals where you just don't want to leave. Cast after cast, relaxing and quiet - basically confirming all those cliches about fishing that you've ever heard. We all enjoyed it very much.
We stopped by McDonald's on the way home, and after dropping Madison off at home, it was off to work to finish setting up this new series. It's going to be great: videos, games, skits, and a fantastic message too. In fact, it's time to get back to work setting up. A few more music tracks here, and a few props (like Stinky Bait), and I think we're nearly done.
Goodnight!
