Raiders of the Lost Egg

We were arriving back home, pulling into the driveway when suddenly Maddie shouted out, "There's an egg!  In the tree!"  The wind's been super strong lately, a cold front coming down with strong breezy conditions that took the leaves off the tree in our front yard that we hang Easter eggs on.  Every year, I feel pretty meticulous about getting all those eggs off the tree, and the last few years, I've missed one that we discover much later still hanging on the tree.  I promise that I try my best to get all the eggs down after Easter, and we really did think - all summer long - that we got all the hanging plastic eggs.  But sure enough, there's one I missed!

Today was a big day for Maddie because we were at the dentist, and the time of her Invisalign is all up.  We were at the dentist, and it's nice because it's all decorated for Christmas again.  It took a bit of time to get things lined up, but she's finished with the Invisalign and now she's got a few retainers for the next year or so.

Afterwards, we made sure we got to shawarma again, because Maddie was excited about that.  I got some falafels with are great too.  We were there for dinner, and just after eating, Mom went to check out the sweets section.  We brought home a lot of baklava, and it was so good.  I'll have to go back soon and get some more for sure!

Good day today.  We finished "Jingo" tonight, the final book from the Discworld for me - I've officially read all of the main novels now.  It was a good book, lots of fun.  We were about to do the next City Watch book for tomorrow, but Maddie and I decided to do "Hogfather" instead because it's now a holiday tradition, right?

We said our prayers after that, and then it was time for some rest.  Good day today though!
