Vampire Candy Corn

Ah, the old vampire candy corn!  This seems like a mandatory thing to do each year, and fortunately Maddie was ready!  We have some candy corn left in the house, which is surprising given how much the three of us like candy corn.  I know it's a controversial candy in that apparently many people do not like it.  But we love it.  So there's that.

Ah, look!  It's the state bird on our back deck.  Thrashers are usually on the ground foraging, but in this case, he found some worms and water on the back deck and decided to visit.  He's so big no one was going to tell him otherwise.

It was a good day.  Colder, for sure.  I was walking in Egypt this morning, but also following the trail of Big Foot in this new iFit challenge.

It makes exercise fun.  Running along and walking as you look for clues in pursuit of Big Foot.  There are the standard telltale signs of Sasquatch, from tree knocking to big piles of poop.  But then there are stories along the way, some dating back a long, long time.  It's just a fun walk in the woods, and it'll be a great series to walk along to.  The Egyptian series is wrapping up soon, and I'll knock that out in the next few days, but that's been super educational.

Speaking of which, Maddie was burning things in Forensics class today, setting small fibers on fire.  She's enjoying that class a lot, and her Precalculus not so much.  But tonight was fun - she had her taekwondo, and she had a great time there.  I was working on the new series stuff for this weekend, and we'll have fun with that.  Maddie was kicking people in the meantime, sparring and working on her form.  She's doing good in that class.

Tonight we watched "Coco" as a part of our October movie series - after that we read, and we said our prayers.  Time to bring out the bigger thick blankets.  The weather's pretty chilly outside!
