Condo for Sale

It's time to move on.  After talking with Madison, Camille and Cindi this morning, we met with the real estate agent photographer, and she took some pictures of the place so that we can properly advertise it when it goes on the market.  We spent a good deal of time cleaning it up, packing things away and hiding other things in various closets.  Daddy took a few snaps before she got here, just of the condo in general.

This is Ba-Ba's office area, from his bedroom with Nana.  It looks very nice, as does this view you see below, of course.

It was a sunny afternoon, so it was harder to head out on the balcony and stay there long, given the sun and heat out there.  Meanwhile at home, it's been getting cooler up at home in Georgia.

Nana was going through quite a bit of paperwork, and through all kinds of closet space and drawers, getting ready for the move out.  The idea is to get a lot of this to a donation center, and then transport much of this home this weekend, and then get even more of it later on for a return trip.

And here are the flowers that Edge ATA got for us, the flowers that I brought down to Florida, and these wound up in all the real estate shots, or at least the ones of the dining table.  This was a nice gift from them, and these flowers have brightened up things here a bit.

Ah, a surfer!  The water was a little rougher out there today.  Not sure if this was related to the hurricane on the other side of Florida, but nevertheless, this guy was out there deep, having a good time riding the waves.  The tide was nearly up to the wall today.

Madison had a good time today at home in Georgia, going to school and then off to taekwondo again.  Camille was about to cook her something when she noticed the oven was making a hissing sound.  Not familiar with it, she called us up, and that caused a bit of a panic, although there wasn't anything really to be afraid of.  Nevertheless, Dawn and her husband came over to check things out, and soon enough there was a big party over there at our house... without us there!  They were actually just checking out the oven, and it was okay, and then the plumbing in the kitchen sink, which is not okay.  But we'll deal with that later.  Lots of craziness over the computer video call!

We prayed tonight, and we were enjoying the windy evening outside.  Nana was watching Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune, and then just sitting around talking with us for a while about things that happened many years ago, about US soldiers marching through England throwing the children like her some candy, or about that first time Ba-Ba came to visit, or how her father served in World War I, before she was born of course.  She was reflecting on many happy memories and faces, and that was nice.

Uncle George arrived later, and that was nice for her as well.  It was a happy reunion with both of her children here at the house.  She slept better tonight, and I think that may have had to do with the people in her condo.  We're here for her, and she's doing better each day.  It's an awful separation, this after well over sixty years of marriage.  It's a bitter, horrible thing, losing someone so special.  We don't blame her in the least.  We prayed together tonight, and then it wasn't much later that we were all in bed getting some rest.  Everyone has been exhausted.

Here are just a few of the photos that the real estate agent's photographer took of Nana and Ba-Ba's place.  This was our destination for a few years in Daytona Shores... quite a few memories here.
