These were the words Madison uttered this morning. It was a directive about her plans for vacation. She wanted bacon.
We arrived at Nana and Ba-Ba's house (where there was indeed bacon). Until that point, we were all about egg salad sandwiches, the remnants of a happy Easter. Despite the fact that Spring Break was upon us, the drive down to their house was remarkably easy. No stress whatsoever!
We arrived, and Madison was ready to begin the festivities. No bacon yet, but we did have a nice dinner - and a few of the usual routines - like cards:
Madison has got to play games like "Snap" with Nana. It's sort of mandatory. The two had a nice evening together, in fact. Here she is, writing everyone's names on one of those magna-doodles.
We were quite thankful for a easy arrival, but quite tired from the trip - and possibly the weekend as well. Easter weekend had a lot going on, all the way back to Good Friday's service. The point is, Daddy and Madison were exhausted. We hit the sack early tonight, happy to be away and on a quick vacation!
