Off to Plymouth Rock

MADISON'S BOOK CLUB
Today's reading is a great one! This book, "Off to Plymouth Rock!" captures everything you need to cover with a three-year old about the topic of Thanksgiving. It has wonderful artwork in it, and it isn't wordy at all. It sort of lets the reader help tell the story as well, with lots of detailed artwork on the pages. Madison really enjoys hearing it - Daddy read it this morning to her before he went off to work. We spent a long time looking at the pages.

Madison sometimes gets impatient to turn the pages, but not with this book. Daddy thinks it is a great learning tool, too - and it gets everybody looking forward to Thanksgiving too!

Speaking of which, today's lunch is going to be special: Madison and Mommy will be joining Daddy at the Wisdom Club Luncheon for turkey, dressing and all sorts of Thanksgiving food. The Wisdom Club is a large group of older church members who have frequent gatherings at the church, and once a month they have food as well. Daddy gets to sneak up and join them from time to time, and when we heard they were serving turkey, we knew we just had to be there!

Tonight, we'll be heading over to Cartersville to hear Perry Stone speak at a church over there. The place has childcare, and we'll see how she does with the new place and location. Really, I don't have too many worries: Madison seems to LOVE new places and locations. Anyway, it'll be a late night for us, so I thought I'd sneak in today's entry now! Busy day today - lots of work to do, including a project that Daddy has always wanted to do for our church's "Weird Science" series: dropping Mentos candy in Diet Coke bottles for an explosive result!

We might post that video tomorrow if you're good!
