Silly Day

Today was a high-octane, goofy sort of day for Madison.  You know it is going to be "one of those days" when she dons her hat:  it's one of those filter masks that she puts on her head like a yarmulke (look that one up if you have to!).

She wears it around the house, that little elastic band around her chin like a party hat.  We've tried to explain to her that it isn't really a hat, but she's having none of that.  It's a hat and that's final.

Before bed, she hangs it on the doorknob and heads off to her crib.  I think tomorrow, I shall head to Lowe's and get her a few more "hats" so maybe she can color some in!

Tonight, we visited Ye Ye and Nana's house, where Madison's cousins were also visiting.  It was a crazy visit, featuring a wacky version of checkers and Madison's first time playing "Twister."  The whole family got involved - I wish I had a picture to share!  Madison did her best to imitate everyone else when Right Foot Blue was called out, or when everyone was reaching for Left Hand Green.

She was definitely a ball of energy today - like I said, it was "one of those days."  But she's still a blast to hang around with, and a fun wrestling partner.  Tonight, I caught her doing a couple tumbles on the Twister mat - she was trying to roll over on her head.  Yes, we'd better check out those gymnastic classes.

She should fall asleep pretty quick tonight!  It's time to plug in "Celtic Lullabies" and get her some milk.  Night-night!
