Rincewind Soccer

Okay, so we're busy here setting up for Summer Xtreme.  Yes, it's just a few weeks away - we were at the office getting things all set up, something we'll be doing up until the last possible moment.  Things became a little squirrelly with scheduling, but it'll be okay.  Mom ordered this new table that we got, a sort of portable fireplace that you'll just have to see when it gets all put together.  But it arrived today, something Mom and I can enjoy out there on the deck.  

Maddie had taekwondo again, moving forward towards yet another testing here soon.  She's pretty confident in that.  We also read tonight from "Unseen University" as has been our latest habit, but the neat thing about the latest chapters are that Rincewind is in there, mostly as a cameo role.  

But where the university is, there is Rincewind.  That is, unless he's falling off the side of the Discworld, or at least orbiting it.  This has been a fun book though, a nod to soccer, which of course is a big deal right now in this continent, as this is where the World Cup is currently taking place.  Lots of noise about football, the European kind.  We just haven't been into it lately - we've been all Braves lately.  Although they did lose again today, the victims of a sucker punch heartbreak ninth inning.  They're still in first place though, and hopefully we can find some positive momentum going into the All-Star Break.  

It's been a good day.  Hot though.  The rain has been more frequent this summer, and that's good news, as we've had such a dry spring.  Now we're making up for it a little bit.  The temperature is so humid, and actually that humidity is in the office too - we've definitely got some issues in there too.

We closed out the night with prayers and a good night's rest afterwards.
