This was a quiet day. I went over to pick up Maddie from the bus... and then quickly drop her off at Nate's. She had a lot to say about her experience at Camp FCY though. In fact, she still does. It was a lot of fun, and a lot of work too. Below are some of the pictures she took with her cell phone of camp.
Mom and I did some KidPak prep, and some cleaning up around the house too. Mom and I got some decorations for fall up and going, with fall leaves on the mantle, pumpkins here and there, plus the new pillow case coverings with decorative fall designs on them. Mom also picked up a spooky gingerbread house for us to decorate later on, and that should be fun. We were out shopping for a little bit, just looking around really at thrift stores, where Mom got some possible clothing items for Maddie and of course I kept adding to the vinyl collection with a Christmas record from Conway Twitty.
We watched another three episodes of Bricso County, Jr. tonight, just to show you how chill the day was. We just sat and rested, watching this great television series, and I'm guessing it won't take long before we run through the whole series entirely, the way we're binging it. It's just been so good.
I did do my walking today, moving along through the Spooky Swamp and by the General Store. This zombie keeps behind me as somewhat of a marker to make sure I make it to the destination by the time I set.
I earned a "character card" with the zombie today, which is cool. You earn different things as you march along towards your goal, and that makes it fun.
We read tonight, although not too long - Maddie was tired, of course. After that, prayers, and sleep!
