What's on Your Face?

Madison told Mommy she wanted a vitamin, but it was one of those moments that Mommy was busy doing something else with Ba-Ba and Nana. That's when Madison came to Daddy, seated in the kitchen. She put her fingers in a V-shape, and put them right on his face, each finger on either side of his nose.

"What's that?" she asked, her fingers planted one on each cheek.

"I don't know, what is it?"

"Vitamin!" she told me.

She was playing around, and not realizing how sarcastic that all came out, but it was downright hilarious to all of us. Of course, Daddy got her a vitamin.

Today was one of those days to recover. It was pretty chilly outside, proving that all my boasts of a groundhog's accuracy were in fact wrong. Winter is not through with us yet. In fact, it is supposed to dip down into the teens tonight, which is pretty cold for this time of year.

Suffice to say, we spent most of the day indoors. We did venture out at one point, to visit Doc Williams again for some work at the chiropractor. Madison still giggles and squeals when the nurse puts the vibrating thing on her back - and she laughs heartily when getting an adjustment. It's so much fun to bring her in to watch her have such a fun time. It's silly, really.

Questions of "What do you want to do next?" were heard, but none of us had that much energy for anything else, including eating really. We just wanted to go home again!

Madison practiced a lot with Mommy on piano. She's doing really well with two hands once more - Daddy will take her to practice tomorrow, so he'll have to do some practicing as well. It's funny how much Mommy and Daddy are learning at the same time!

Tonight we watched "A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court" with Bing Crosby. It was part of our further research to make this current series a good one. I have to say I usually like the older movies better, but with this theme, I like some of the more modern interpretations better. Years ago, I read the original story by Mark Twain, and was surprised to read the ending. The story starts out so light-hearted and whimsical, and yet it ends quite the opposite. Not sure what he was thinking there, but it's not one of my favorite books - although the premise is a fun one. To that extent, the movies based on the book have been fun, including the one we watched tonight. Also in there is Whoopi Goldberg's "A Knight in Camelot" and "A Kid in King Arthur's Court." Over the new few weeks, we'll check out "A Knight's Tale" and the musical "Camelot" too. Also, it'll be fun watching some of the princess movies with Madison again!

Tomorrow is Super Tuesday. I don't think it is called this because of voting though. I think it has to do with the 100 year anniversary of everyone's favorite cookie: the Oreo. Oh yes, there will be celebrating then!
