Flight of the High Flyers

This morning, Madison was given a High Flyer Award for the character trait of PASSION.  You can see above a slide that we saw on the screen as all the parents and students filed into the cafeteria.  "If you can't figure out your purpose, figure out your passion.  For your passion will lead you directly to your purpose."

Madison has gotten one of these per year, and it's always a fun thing for her.  There's a bit of a ceremony, where the kids' names are called out, and each one goes up to receive their certificate.  With the certificate, there is a coupon to a local restaurant.  It used to be Longhorn's, but today we got one for Chili's - Madison will get a free meal there eventually.

Here's the members of the third grade team that got their awards.  We've done this now four times I think?  Like I said, it doesn't get old!

The rest of the day was spent at school, and then ballet.  We'll have more on this day in a bit, as right now it's time to head off to bed and get some rest… so tired…
