On the way home we got some mums for Mom! We thought we'd surprise her with some seasonal flowers, although we called Mom to get a little assistance about which ones to get. These are good choices because they'll bloom in a bit, and they'll last a little longer. Mom has them on the front porch, four of these pots of flowers to add a bit of seasonal color.
So today began "Inktober," something I just learned about yesterday. Apparently, there are thirty-one prompts for October, one for each day of the month, and the challenge is to do an ink drawing and/or doodle once per day. I'm using the expo markers because that's ink, right? Three of us are embracing the challenge this month, so that might be kind of fun.
Another fun thing about today: it's International Coffee Day! Mom had some Army of Dark Chocolate ready for me when I got home, and that was a nice way to celebrate. Seasonal coffee, yay!
Maddie had a good day at college, and spent a good bit of time at home with homework. Mom was making some future plans with some neat ideas down the road for Christmas, stuff you'll read about here eventually. It's going to be fun this Christmas. But today it's October, and of course we're watching our seasonal movies, continuing with "Ghostbusters 2." This movie has grown up my immensely, and sure, perhaps there's a lot of nostalgia involved. But we enjoyed that one as always. We'll continue the marathon tomorrow with another Ghostbusters movie.
Okay, it's time for bed. We'll be reading here soon, and then after that prayers, and bed. Mom and I are still on this detox thing, taking a lot of supplements - and it's been a little challenging for both of us lately. Time to get some rest.
