This afternoon we returned to see the Praise in Motion production of "The Gift," a Christmas tradition that we were excited to see. Maddie had her Team Edge practice early on, and that went well - Maddie is in the upcoming demonstration at Edgestraganza, and she's using a sword and nunchucks in that. Afterwards, we had lunch at Chick-Fil-A, sitting at the table there in Oakwood and seeing the inside of that location for the first time. It was a nice meal, and right afterwards we made the short drive down to a venue just past Flowery Branch, the place where we've been seeing this production for the last few years.
We met our friend Emma there, who of course was a huge part of the dance in productions at our church. She's a great friend of ours, and a great friend of KidPak. We were so glad she could come and watch this performance today!
We mentioned that Daniel was in the performance - we heard that on Wednesday night at FCY. He was playing the part of Joseph this afternoon. He did a great job, as did all the rest of the cast - as always. We've been seeing this for many, many years, and it's always a moving, powerful, wonderful production. We love, love, love the segment with the Wise Men. It's always been really great.
We went home after this, and it was time to get some rest. Mom is recovering still from the recent issues that got her to the hospital, and that just means getting some sleep when needed. We took it easy the rest of the day, later on watching "A Christmas Story Christmas" tonight, a really nice sequel that still has a lot of fun laughs.
We're back in KidPak tomorrow, so it was time for an early night. Tonight's reading was a new Christmas book that we read some time before, "The Shepherd, The Angel and Walter the Christmas Miracle Dog." This got big laughs at bed time, and it's a nice Christmas book to read as we'll be reading Christmas books nightly this season. Really nice!
