November 22

Here's a nice little picture from KidPak today.  It's a Friday morning, and you can see the preschoolers practicing for the upcoming Christmas play.  It's a sweet sound hearing kids choirs singing "Away in the Manger" - one of the nicest things your ears can hear.  I was in the auditorium, just soaking it all in.

And this is from the packaging place where I was submitting my fingerprints.  We were all doing that to run through a new system of security for our volunteers and staff at KidPak, given today's world.  We just want to make certain we have the best and safest place for the kids.  This fingerprint background check is just a small part of the overall requirements.

Oh, and check out the new decorations going up.  I put a few trees in place today, although I was also off to get Maddie from school at one point.  I was doing a good bit - the skit is done, and we're ready for Sunday.  Tonight we were back at taekwondo, of course.

Ah, here's Maddie.  Or at least a reflection of her in a sign at taekwondo advertising for Edgestravaganza, which is coming up soon!  Maybe I'll have a bit of involvement there, I dunno.  But Maddie did well tonight with taekwondo, on this longer night.  It was a colder night too!

Today is November 22, and it's the anniversary of the JFK assassination.  I was reading a book that Mom gave me on that, but Maddie and her government class were studying that today at school, and watching some material about that.  They were tasked with coming up with what they thought about the assassination.  Was there a cover-up?  Maddie was given the job of looking into a certain three-letter organization based in Virginia, just based on what she researched in a limited amount of time, and of course there's room to believe in the conspiracy theories.

We finished our book tonight, "The Greatest Christmas Pageant Ever."  It ended very well, and we all loved this story quite a bit.  We'll possibly continue reading Christmas material tomorrow - we'll see!  In the meantime, it was time for prayers and sleep.  Got a fun day tomorrow!
