Festive!

Festive!  The dentist office is usually very nicely decorated, and that helps out with visits, doesn't it?  Mom and I were at the dentist this morning for our regular check-ups, and my teeth are just fine.  Mom is having some difficulty with calcium deficiencies, and of course we're dealing that by way of supplements and dietary changes, plus some various exercises.  But nevertheless, Mom is due to have some pretty significant dental work very soon, which is the equivalent of what it used to cost to buy a car.

To help our day improve somewhat, we decided to do our traditional post-dentist trip to Cracker Barrel.

Mom and I had a great meal there, and then we did some shopping, and wound up getting a good bit of Christmas shopping done.  I got an Amy Grant and Vince Gill collection of Christmas music, a new release with basically a bunch of older material on it, but it was still nice to listen to on the way home.

Here's one thing we watched today:  the Presidential pardon of Peach and Blossom.  This is always a pleasant ceremony, something short and sweet and festive.  This turkey was especially vocal at one point, and that was great.  Gobble on, turkey!

Maddie and I were doing some grocery shopping tonight, and we got a lot of needed stuff for Thanksgiving, including olive oil - Zebedee would be happy.  Except it's pretty pricy.  It was buy-one-get-one-free today though, and Maddie and I wanted to be sure we were getting the right kind for Mom.  So we sent her this funny picture while out shopping!

Maddie had taekwondo tonight, and a pretty decent day today.  She slept in, and that's always nice for her. I spent a good bit of time on the Juicy Fruit booklet, our new series for January on the Fruit of the Spirit.

Tonight's movie was "The Muppet Christmas Carol," and it is a wonderful movie.  It's a heavy-hitter, a mandatory Christmas classic, and certainly one of our top-tier favorites.  We went upstairs afterwards and got ready for bed.  The Plush Entourage came down the hall, and it's time for reading a new book, or at least re-reading it:  we're revisiting "Hogfather," and that'll be fun.

We closed out the day with prayers, and got to sleep at a decent hour.  We've got something fun planned tomorrow!
